DOES MY ORDER COME WITH TRACKING/INSURANCE?
Tracking comes with all orders and once you receive the number, your package can be followed by visiting https://www.ups.com/tracking/tracking.html or https://www.usps.com/shipping/trackandconfirm.htm depending on the shipping option that you have chosen.
As to insurance, UPS is liable for loss or damage, at no extra cost, for up to $100 for each domestic package. If you have selected USPS shipping - Priority Mail Express shipments include up to $100 of insurance and Priority Mail shipments may include up to $50.
CAN I RETURN MY ORDER?
We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase; as such we offer a 14 calendar day window for returns. Refunds will be issued once we receive the item(s) back but only if the items are returned in their original packaging and are undamaged. Unless there was an error on our end, you are responsible for return shipping expenses.
Please make sure to review your order before purchase and look over your items upon receiving as returns cannot be accepted past the 14 day mark. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to initiate a return.
HOW DO I CARE FOR PROJECTS KNIT FROM THRIVING HIVE YARNS?
While superwash yarns are machine-washable, hand washing is always best. We recommend hand washing knitted items separately, using tepid water and air drying. Our yarns are dyed with professional acid dyes and are fully exhausted before rinsing. However it is not uncommon for light bleeding to occur during the first wash.
A note on knitting colorwork: if you are planning a colorwork project with high contrast colors we recommend rinsing and drying your yarn prior to knitting your project (just to be safe).
WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP OUT?
We will try to get your order out as soon as possible but please note that ready-to-ship items will ship between 2-3 business days (M-F). Please be sure to double check that the email and shipping address provided is correct before submitting your order. If the order comes back to us due to an error with the provided address, you will be responsible for the re-shipping costs, but if the error is ours we will take care of the re-shipping cost.
Please note that on occasion, such as during holiday rush and large sales events, there may be a slight delay in processing time. Your business is important to us, and we make every effort to process your order as quickly as we can.
WHERE IS YOUR YARN SOURCED FROM?
All of our bases are ethically sourced from cruelty and mulesing-free farms and shepherds in the UK via our supplier that is based in the United States.
We now carry a 100% wool base that we lovingly call “Wooly Wool” which is ethically grown and milled in the United States by independent family wool growers.
DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM ORDERS?
At this time, we are unable to offer custom orders, however, we are always open to suggestions if there is a color combination you would love us to create!

I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU HAVE A DOG, BUT I'M ALLERGIC TO THEM. DOES THIS MEAN I CAN'T KNIT WITH YOUR YARN?
While we cannot guarantee our yarn is 100% dog-dander free, our dogs do not come in contact with our yarns.
